Colorado born and Colorado raised

I grew up in the small town of Nederland, CO.  My parents started Arrowhead Trails Inc. in 1994 when I was six years old.  Our summers consisted of traveling to different mountain towns including Aspen, Crested Butte, Copper Mountain, Boulder, and Breckenridge to build trails.  By 1998 I was helping my parents rake and finish trails and by the age of 14 I was running equipment.  At age 15 I build my first trail out of state for Tamarack Ski Resort near Macall, Idaho.  By the time I graduated from Salida High School in 2006 I had helped my parents build over a hundred and fifty miles of trail.  Thank you for such an amazing upbringing parents!

I studied everything from engineering to philosphy in college eventually graduating with a Sustainable Agriculture degree from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO.  I started Dirt Doc my senior year of college and got my first greenhouse build the summer I graduated.  Being a somewhat seasonal job with limited clientel I've had many side jobs everything from building snowboards for Never Summer and coaching snowboard teams in Crested Butte, to running heavy eqipment for the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation area.  

2017 was by far the best year for Dirt Doc!  We built two greenhouses, three different aquaponic systems and I was able to bring on a few employees. I was fully booked out in 2018 and it became a viable option to work soley for myself!

2018 proved to be better than expected! We completed my favorite greenhouse build to date, which included a dedicated koi pond, bottom drain technology, and automated fertigation. I have expanded my aquaponic plumbing skills and built a complete ditch to drip farm filtration and distribution system. We also added a mini excavator, dump trailer, and equipment trailer to our fleet. We are proud to have become more specialized in the pond industry and with more pond jobs lined up for 2019, we couldn't be more excited!
